Gosford Greyhound Club played host to a fundraiser on Tuesday night, supporting Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets.
On top of the usual program of racing, a major raffle offering two lots of accommodation, horse riding, and assorted vouchers was up for grabs.
A second pick a box raffle gave punters the opportunity to win from a table of great prizes, while other novelty events included a lucky door prize draw and a children’s colouring competition.
A number of businesses and organisations chipped in to help sponsor the event, including Australian Racing Greyhound; The Hon. Luke Foley; The Shooters Fishers & Farmers Party; Gosford Sailing Club; Patonga Beach Hotel; Beat the Bug Pest Control; Lidpingers; and TR Build.
Patrons of the Gosford Race Club dug deep into their pockets to make the night a great success, helping to raise around $4500 for Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets programs.
Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets program is not only about helping young people who are homeless, but also about creating programs for young people who are in crisis. The program helps them find jobs, finish their education, deal with addiction or domestic violence situations. The team at Youth off the Streets do a fantastic job and need all the money they can get to continue these fantastic programs.
